In 2023 BADideas.fund is teaming up with Techchill, arguably the most highly-anticipated and rated startup event in CEE, to support the pitch battle with a prize - chance to get up to €150K investment. Techchill and BADideas.fund is calling on Baltic and CEE startups to submit their applications before March 10, 2023. The top 50 most promising early-stage startups will be selected from the pool of applicants to pitch in the online pre-finals, and the top 10 teams will move on to the final round to pitch in front of investors on the Techchill stage. BADideas.fund will be evaluating the startups with the goal to pick one startup team to invest up to €150K.

We know that all unicorns seemed like bad ideas initially, as Paul Graham (Y-Combinator co-founder) said, and we're here to invest in ideas that might seem bad to others, but we know could become the next unicorn.

What we'd like to see in the best startups:

  • ambitious teams,
  • solving a big problem,
  • scalable business models,
  • functioning products with traction/feedback, and
  • readiness for investment.
